where we believe that financial empowerment is for everyone, regardless of background or past experiences.

I'm Joe Robinson, the founder of Wine and Wealth, and I'm on a mission to help those impacted by the criminal justice system transform their relationship with money and build lasting wealth.

My journey began in East New York Brooklyn, where I grew up during the crack era drinking Malt Liquor and navigating a world of financial illiteracy. That changed when my wife Sheila introduced me to the world of wine. As I explored the nuances of wine, I realized that it was more than just a beverage—it was a gateway to a new way of thinking and living.

I was inspired to create Wine and Wealth after a fun event called Sip and Paint that Sheila and I attended in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. It was there, surrounded by art and good company, that I realized the power of combining enjoyable experiences with meaningful learning experiences -- be it painting or personal finance.

My inspiration for writing books about personal finance and entrepreneurship stemmed from my own experiences growing up in Brooklyn and my time in prison. These experiences taught me the importance of changing my thinking and taking control of my life. Through Wine and Wealth, I hope to share these lessons and help others realize their full potential.
